‘De Verwondering’
Niesing built a detached house with garage on the outskirts of Nieuwveen in a building plan called ‘de Verwondering’. The design of the house is by Nico Dekker Design and Architecture from Nieuwe Niedorp.

Strict requirements
The municipality of Nieuwkoop, of which Nieuwveen is a part of, demands that the project has the characteristics of the Amsterdam school: red brick, gray roof tiles and white window frames. The house meets the strict EPC requirement of 0.4, among others because of the use of many insulation and solar panels.
